Playing soccer year round, Ava Simunovic ’20 somehow has the time to be a staff writer for Inklings. Simunovic was never interested in journalism until her sister introduced the class to her. “My older sister, Anay, absolutely loved being a part of journalism, and was the editor and chief of the newspaper, so she influenced me to take the class,” Simunovic said.
Simunovic gets to “vocalize her opinions and beliefs” through her writing on Inklings. She enjoys writing features on Inklings because she can have a fun and engaging introduction.
Along with writing, Simunovic is a competitive soccer player. She played varsity soccer since her Freshman year, and plays on a club team year round. Simunovic is looking forward to many more years as a part of Inklings.
