The last school day for most seniors, May 14, was the last chance to pull off a signature prank.

Instead of just one, these seniors decided to take advantage of their last day with three pranks.

During the first lunch wave, students began to congregate in the hallway in front of the main courtyard. Students knew something was up when roughly 50 senior girls showed up in their blue tie-dye “senior girl” shirts.

The students gathered around the window while the class of 2010 had a water balloon fight in the courtyard.

However, administration quickly took control of the situation and avoided what they said could have been a messy situation. Within minutes, the seniors had migrated to the side courtyard outside of the cafeteria, and successfully pulled off their water balloon fight. The pelting lasted for about five minutes before the administration put and end to it once again.

The seniors had more in store for the school when they sneaked out of the building during the crossover to period five. Drivers quickly hopped into their cars along with their friends, and completed a mini-motorcade around the school.

After the motorcade, seniors who participated made sure the rest of the school was aware of their re-entrance by storming through the halls and screaming loudly.

I graduated back in 2007 but this brings it right back to me… how stupid these pranks are.  It was almost that same location way back in 2004 when I was a Freshman – and Seniors were shooting water guns around.  The next year was the infamous food fight that closed out 25 years of a cafeteria before being bulldozed for renovations.  How about something more creative like every senior setting off their car alarms?

A water balloon fight? That has got to be the lamest senior prank ever, second only to a food fight. Surely that senior class could have done better with all those talented minds heading off to college this fall. It seems that not much time was put into this. And to Evelyn, I am fairly positive that the upcoming senior classes can pull off a better prank than a water balloon fight and charging/driving around the school like a bunch of clowns. A portopotty on the roof was a considerably better prank than that.

Well, someone is Mr. Negative. I’d like to see your class do something better.

What a terrible prank. A water balloon fight? Really? That’s just weak. And driving around the school honking your horns is just not interesting or creative. Just awful. It would have been decent if they at least had the water balloon fight inside. Embarrassing

Stopping a water balloon fight? Twice? REALLY?! I’m pretty sure the ground’s waterproof, seeing as it appears to already by a rainy day in the first photo. I’m rather sure that the students are waterproof, too…and I’m also quite sure few issues of liability could stem from a water balloon fight. So it was too “messy” for the administration? Couldn’t the students have offered to clean up after themselves? And even if they didn’t, is it that huge of a deal? It’s their senior prank. The goal was probably…to have a water balloon fight…not to trash the courtyard. Then again, we are dealing with folks who feared that a portopotty could cause structural damage to the building’s roof a few years back…I hope it was a glorious five minutes.
