Students’ artwork showcased at Staples art show

In a Staples oil painting class, students painted pears and apples at a variety of angles, resulting in a whole board of delectable fruit. The difference in styles, brush strokes, shadows, and colors, is dependent upon the individual artist’s approach.

Displayed outside the auditorium is work from the first semester’s art classes. The fall art show is made to coordinate with the scheduling of the Candlelight Concert; there is another art show in May, to display the second semester’s pieces, which coordinates with the end of the year art awards. Work from all levels and grades are displayed. The show serves to give Staples artists the recognition they deserve, and gives staff and students a moment to pause in the hallways, and look what their peers have created.
