UPDATE: Four The New York Times photojournalists, including Staples alumni Tyler Hicks ’88 and Lynsey Addario ’91, who were missing in Libya until recently, were released on Mar. 21, six days after their capture.

The photojournalists who were captured by Libyan forces loyal to Col. Muammar el-Qaddafi were released to the Turkish embassy in Tripoli, Libya and are now safely residing in Tunisia.

The photojournalists were allowed to contact their families on Mar. 17.
