On Sat., Feb. 4, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., the Intensity Club and Dance Studio invites Zumba enthusiasts of all experience levels, ages 10 and up, to participate in a fundraiser benefitting the Oyebog Tennis Academy (OTA). The event will be hosted and led by licensed Zumba instructor Marcello. OTA is a non-profit organization that teaches tennis to underprivileged children in Cameroon, Africa. Marcello
encourages people to come out and support the event “to do something for someone other than yourself, in a way that’s fun and motivating.”

Although he is not directly affiliated with OTA, Marcello feels connected to the cause. “I know what it’s like to not have much,” he said.

Each participant is asked to donate $25 or more and 100% of the proceeds will go directly to OTA. Aside from the unique opportunity to dance for a cause, Intensity will also be collecting gently used sneakers and clothing in donation bins around the Studio. The state of the art studio is complete with a full lighting system, disco ball, and high performance spring flooring. Intensity staff member Harry Stuttard ’11 described intensity as a healthy community for people of all ages with some of the best personal trainers. “Marcello is one of the best,” Stuttard said.

Come join Deaguero at Intensity for a great time, an intense workout, and meaningful charity.
