The Staples High School PTA has joined together with Westport Barnes and Noble for a one-day holiday book sale that will take place on Tuesday, Dec. 13 at Barnes and Noble. Anything purchased at the bookstore or the Cafe between 9 a.m. and 10 p.m. will help fund various PTA programs at Staples.  Complimentary gift wrapping will provided by parent and Staples student volunteers from the ABC House and Staples’ Student Ambassador Club.

Throughout the day, Barnes and Noble will also host a variety of events.

At 4:00 p.m., Michelle Stuart of the award winning bakery Michelle’s Pies will sign copies of her new book, Perfect Pies, and hand out samples of some of her holiday themed pies.  After that, the Staples Orphenians will perform a holiday concert.  To close out the evening, local technology author, Emmy-winning CBS Television correspondent, and New York Times technology correspondent David Pogue will give a presentation on, “eBooks: The Past, Present, Promise and Pitfalls.”
