With words and cake, Principal Dodig welcomed the new teachers in the cafeteria after school, Sept. 18.
He recognized the fact Staples is a large community and he was hoping to make teachers feel closer despite the size of the school.
This was a chance for veteran and new teachers met and get to know their new colleagues.
“Everyone has been really accepting and welcoming,” said Heather Colletti-Houde, formerly a teacher at Bedford Middle School and currently a Staples English teacher, is adapting well.
“It’s nice to have a change of scenery and seeing my former students,” said Coletti-Houde
Principal Dodig also spoke about the promising Staples community as well as thanking new teachers for choosing to teach at the school.
