Wrecker Offense too Much for Danbury

Wrecker Offense too Much for Danbury

Staples Field Hockey is putting together some of its best games of the season right now.

The Wreckers  beat Danbury Sept 28, with a score of 7-1. This is their third win in a row giving them a current record of 4-2 .   Two goals were made by  Misha Strage ’12, and Sami Bautista ’13 and three goals were made by Emily Ashken ’12.

“They played as a team very well, and did a great job on defense and passing.   The team spent most of their game playing offense, because of their well defensive plays, they had more opportunity to score.”  Caroline Kearney ’12 said.

“The team had been playing great as a whole, coming off of two high scoring games,” said Wrecker coach Cecily Anderson said. ” It has been the most scores they have ever had.  Everyone got a lot of playing time, which was really good considering Danbury is usually a tough team to beat.”
