COW Allegedly Stolen, Police Presence
A laptop from a library Computer On Wheels cart is missing and may have been stolen, a library media specialist said. The school called the Westport police and filed a report, according to Julia Roberts, Library Media Specialist.
“We just told the Police Department what we know, and they will be investigating from here,” said Roberts.
C.O.W.s are regularly used in various English, Social Studies, and even science classes. Students, who were chatting through lunch about the presence of police in the school, said they were not necessarily surprised to hear that a laptop had gone missing from the C.O.W..
“There are so many laptops in any given classroom, I could see how it could be easy for someone to just put it in their bag and go unnoticed,” said Madison Lorenz ’13.
