Erin McGroarty, a current Staples sophomore, is beginning her first year on Inklings as a staff writer. During Advanced Journalism, Erin is easy to spot as the only girl on the website’s Sports section team.

Her passion for sports doesn’t stop at writing, though. Erin dedicates much of her time at Staples towards her athletic passions: soccer, ice hockey,and lacrosse.

However, she emphatically added, “Ice hockey is definitely my favorite. Last year, we made it to FCIACs which was huge for the team and me!”

A passion for athletics has also led Erin to her goal of becoming a physical therapist.
