Maria Krug ’22, Arts Editor

At first glance, Paper Arts Editor Maria Krug ’22 looks like any other Westport resident with blonde hair and blue eyes. However, Maria was born and raised in Brazil. It was when she moved to Westport five years ago that she found an interest in opinion writing. 

“After taking Intro, I fell in love with opinion writing. Inklings gave me an outlet to get my voice out,” Krug said.

In Inklings, Maria enjoys talking about being a second-culture kid in a suburban town.

“A lot of people don’t know I’m Brazilian until I tell them,” Krug said.
