Zander Bauer ’26, Associate Paper Managing Editor
Associate Paper Managing Editor Zander Bauer ’26 knows the importance of leadership and taking initiative in her high school years.
“I never thought I would have a position [in Inklings] or anything. I just wanted to be in the class,” Bauer said. ”But I have really enjoyed Inklings and my time spent here.”
She applies this same drive outside of school with the Make Our School Safe (MOSS) Club where she serves as co-president.
“I work on that a lot,” Bauer said, “in order to help build relationships in our school and help implement better safety measures.”
Bear Swearingen ’26, Social Media Manager
Social Media Manager Bear Swearingen ’26 has always enjoyed being on the field, whether playing safety for the Staples football team or defense for the lacrosse team.
“In middle school, I really started loving lacrosse,” Swearingen said.
That passion has carried him through the years, and he is committed to play lacrosse at Bates College. Off the field, he manages Inklings’ social media, designing posts and templates for major stories, believing it’s essential to keep the community informed.
“When someone has a social media post,” Swearingen said. “They text me and I try to post it as soon as possible.”
