In any high school, you can find the jocks, the musicians and the class presidents. But why can’t you be more than one? Sydney Kaplan ’17 stretches herself out across cross country, outdoor track, Student Assembly, and Inklings. Kaplan had always been interested in writing, but it all clicked while she was watching “All the President’s Men” last year in her Intro to Journalism class. From then on, she was hooked, “The way journalists have all the power- we’re dependent on them,” she said. A classic “do-gooder”, Kaplan is an avid lover of animals and the environment and has high hopes for her junior year. “I hope to enjoy the year besides grades. I want to take the time to enjoy my friends.”
