Cooper Boardman

Cooper Boardman, Sports Editor

Cooper Boardman’s ’17 love for baseball started before he was even born. His mother

attended the 1998 World Series where the New York Yankees played the San Diego Padres

when she was pregnant with Cooper. Maybe it was the fact that the Yankees won that World

Series, but Cooper has been a diehard Yankees fan his whole life.

Cooper has played baseball for 10 years but believes he has a better career in

journalism. ”I am definitely not athletic enough to play sports for a living, but I’d love to cover

them,” Cooper said. He’s a Sports Director for WWPT which covers all Staples sports. WWPT

has covered events such as Lacrosse State Championships in places like Mohegan Sun. “It’s

really cool to know that there are people listening to you, wondering what’s going on,” Cooper

added. Staples is lucky to have Cooper to provide exciting broadcasts of our sports.

Cooper Boardman, Sports Editor October 10, 2014

To the average person, the terms “Yeezy” and “Foamposite” sound like gibberish; but to some students, it makes perfect sense.  We go by “Sneakerheads,” and I can admit I’m one of them. Hours...
