Teen Injured in Halftime Incident

First responders tend to the injured person at the football game Friday night.

Just after halftime at tonight’s football game against Bridgeport Central High School, a 17-year-old male allegedly lost balance near the junior parking lot and fell to the asphalt road along the field.

Police declined to comment on the incident, which drew a crowd of onlookers.

According to CJ Cenatiempo, who worked at the Calise’s concession stand near the incident during the game, the victim may have lost a tooth.

Spectators at the game were alerted to the incident by the police’s use of a flashing light to alert emergency personnel on the field that they were needed in the parking lot.

Staples went on to win the game, 49-6.
