With spring break approaching, many Staples students are planning on taking trips with their friends or family that are COVID safe. Today was the second day of tryouts. There will be a varsity, junior varsity and freshman team this year. The varsity teams first game is on Tuesday April 13 home vs. Ridgefield. The cafeteria, one of the most feared parts of the transition, was packed with students waiting in line for lunch. Tables were full, with students sitting on either side of the plastic dividers. Under this model, all in-person learners attend school together and full distance learning remains an option. With the transition from 75% to 100% capacity, communal areas such as the library and cafeteria saw an increase in students.
