Summer is warmth, the burning sun kissing your shoulders. Summer is freedom, beaches, summer camp, relaxation.
As Sept. 22 approaches we have to officially say farewell to summer as the weather turn cold. On Monday night at 10:29 PM, the sun crosses the equator and the day and night are the same length. Compo Beach, Longshore, and other popular summer sites around Westport are savoring the beautiful final days of sunny summer weather.
Fall is quickly approaching and the streets will be filled with festive fall color, bordering the sides of the roads before we know it. The air grows crisp and our pink and green shorts fade into jeans and cozy sweaters. Sweet Tea by the pool becomes hot cocoa cheering on the football team. See ya summer, and welcome fall.
