11:17 a.m. The Rotary Four Way Speech Contest took place Jan. 4 in the Library during all three lunch waves. It gave many Staples students a chance to take the podium and make a speech about an issue they were passionate about. Judges included Principal John Dodig, Library Media Specialist Julia Roberts, Social Studies Department Head James D’Amico, and Enlglish teacher Holly Sulzycki. Student speakers included Will Horne ’13, the first student at the podium, Mark Schwabacher ’13, Jacob Meisel ’13, and many more.
