Inklings News

Lily Kane ’20
Lily Kane ’20, a current Web News Editor on the Inklings Staff, looks to pursue journalism as her lifelong career. Craving another opportunity to express her passion for writing outside of English class, Kane decided to join Inklings.

While in Advanced Journalism, she has had many opportunities to publish her preferred type of article style, features, while also meeting many interesting people around school and Westport. ”Writing features gives me the chance to interact with amazing and fascinating people that I may not have met if it wasn’t for Inklings,” Kane said. “I just love sitting down and interviewing people to hear their story.”

The Varsity cheerleader of three years has goals to continue improving as a writer and journalist this year with her position as an editor. Kane is excited for the upcoming football season and to see what her junior year at Staples has in store for her.
