Lauren Francese , Advisor

With their Justin Bieber obsessions and Bar Mitzvah sweatshirts, former Bedford social studies teacher Lauren Francese has developed skin of steel. Now, as a new teacher at Staples, she has brought this middle school durability with her in an effective manner

This is proven with Francese’s smooth adjustment to Wrecker turf. She described the faculty and student body as being very welcoming upon her arrival.

She is already so comfortable that she has added the position as an Inklings’s web advisor to her busy schedule. But to her, the heavy workload is worth it for such a great newspaper.

“I think the best thing about Inklings is that it represents the school in a meaningful way,” she said. “I have always admired the work that students have done with the entire publication.”

Her strong technology skills, many of which she has learned through her favorite teaching blog, MindShift, are what she credits as her weapon for success in these teaching roles.

Also, in regards to taking on this advisory position, “Mrs. Marsick made me do it,” she said.

With her invincible strength through dealing with a variety of age groups and uncooperative technologies, Francese is an ultimate asset to the Inklings team.
