Josh Dublin –– Staff Writer

When a person is passionate about something it is a common saying that it “is in their blood.” Josh Dublin ’14 embodies this saying at a more literal level.

Dublin has been interested in the world of journalism ever since his father had worked as a journalist for the Riverdale Press in Riverdale, New York. Dublin and his father used to read the New York Times together and talk about the news of the day, an activity that got him interested in Inklings.

Although in the past Dublin has found himself at his ping-pong table due to his self proclaimed “chronic” procrastination, he was not slow in taking advantage of the chance to take Introduction to Journalism his sophomore year. “Thankfully, my procrastination hasn’t gotten in the way of me meeting any journalistic deadlines,” said Dublin.

Outside of school, Dublin is a member of the Student Model United Nations and is trying out for the tennis team, but what separates him from the rest is the fact that he is a big supporter of equal rights and is against the discrimination of all groups of people. In eighth grade, Dublin even organized a protest of the war in Iraq.

With a growing passion for journalism and strong opinions about things that matter, it doesn’t seem that Dublin will have any problems with his procrastination interfering with his success on the Inklings staff this year. Why would he? It’s in his blood!
