Greta Bjornson –– A&E Editor
Greta Bjornson ’15 is known for her creative impulse and artistic mind: two important qualities that make her A&E editing position the perfect fit.
Joining Inklings was an easy choice for Bjornson. She loves English classes because of the open-ended thinking it allows, and saw journalism as an opportunity to incorporate this with her love for art and creative outlook.
“I love that you can have an opinion in journalism. Writing articles is so different than writing analytical essays. You get to put your own spin on things,” said Bjornson.
Aside from Inklings, Bjornson’s on her way to becoming the next Marc Jacobs-her absolute passion is designing and creating women’s clothing. She started sewing in seventh grade, when she took art classes after school at the Silvermine Arts Center. She often wears her own clothing, particularly dresses and skirts, since she loves sporting a girly style.
In the upcoming year, she’s excited to use her designing skills to create unforgettable layouts and build her experience with the InDesign program. And, she is eager to find her own place in the Inklings family.
Bjornson hopes that the future holds a job that combines both fashion and journalism, such as working for “Vogue”. Although Greta’s dreams are big, there’s no doubt her motivation and dedication will take her there.
