Although negotiations between the United States and Russia have averted U.S. military involvement in Syria, students had varying opinions on the issue. The situation in Syria was discussed in classes and raised different points of view.

The Syria poll was taken during the lunch waves. Sheets were passed out that had each of the following questions with the same options for answers. Students simply filled out the sheets by circling whichever answer they agreed with. The sheets were passed out to students sitting at tables, and the sampling was diverse and inclusive to students in every grade level. To collect the following data, each sheet that was filled out was reviewed and the responses were recorded and tallied.

Emma Lederer, Staff Writer
After three years of working on Inklings, Emma Lederer ’16 has found a passion for writing opinions. “I just have a lot of opinions,” she said with a laugh. She joined Inklings directly out of Intro, and was one of the only freshman in the class. “It was a little intimidating at first,” she admits, “but I learned the ropes that way.” When she’s not writing for Inklings, she can be found working on Soundings, Staples’s “kinda underrated” literary magazine. Looking forward to senior year, Lederer is most excited for the football games, even though she’s never been the biggest sports fan –– she’s excited to have school spirit going into her last year.
