The 10th annual Castles in the Sand event took place at Compo Beach on May 14. All proceeds from the event were donated to Hopes with Hope. Despite overcast skies, throughout the day numerous groups competed to build the best sandcastle on the beach. Judges gave awards in nine different categories. Winners are posted on Westportnow.
