Snow Day on Wednesday Means Exams Would Be Pushed Back

Early predictions of a snow day on Wednesday, Jan. 12 have caused the school’s administration to develop a contingency plan for the upcoming midterm exams.

“I sent out an email about three weeks ago saying that if we lose a day of school before exams, we’d just eat the day,” Principal John Dodig said.  “What I didn’t think of was half a day.  Periods five and six didn’t get to meet on Friday and if you’re teaching AP, every day is precious.”

On Monday, Jan. 10, Dodig sent out an email to the staff saying that if school is cancelled on Wednesday, Jan. 12, the midterm schedule will be pushed back one day and school on Tuesday, Jan. 18 will follow a normal Wednesday schedule, where periods eight, three, two, six, seven, and four meet.

“Of course, the weather people could all be wrong which would mean exams will begin on Tuesday anyway,” Dodig wrote in his email.
