Emma Van Riper
Emma Van Riper ’20, a long-time writer for Inklings, has held several positions on the paper. Joining the paper in her sophomore year, Van Riper started as a writer for the technology supplement before transitioning to features editor during her junior year. However, Van Riper’s favorite position is working as a social media director, which she started towards the end of last year.

Van Riper loves to write and found the club a good fit for her. Concerned about student life, Van Riper has written several opinionated pieces on policies affecting Staples students and policies the school should consider. Through her opinions, Van Riper proposed multiple changes to the school’s curriculum.

“If you play a sport that you should get credit—gym credits—so that you have another free period so you can take another class or just have another free,” Van Riper said
