Van Riper loves to write and found the club a good fit for her. Concerned about student life, Van Riper has written several opinionated pieces on policies affecting Staples students and policies the school should consider. Through her opinions, Van Riper proposed multiple changes to the school’s curriculum.
“If you play a sport that you should get credit—gym credits—so that you have another free period so you can take another class or just have another free,” Van Riper said
