Eddie Kiev ’20
Eddie Kiev ’20 will tackle his second year of Advanced Journalism armed with a positive attitude and a ready mind. Taking Advanced Journalism fuels Kiev’s passion for interacting with the community around him. “I enjoy learning about and spreading awareness of local issues,” said Kiev. He brings this enthusiasm to his position as Web News Editor for Inklings, and hopes to expand the news section of the Inkling’s website this year. Always one to seize a given opportunity, Kiev is constantly on the pursuit to cover the most relevant stories that arise. Outside of the paper, Kiev is a member of the Saugatuck Rowing Team. Last summer, he competed for the under-17 national team, placing a close second. Whether it be towards Inklings or rowing, Kiev’s dedication to his activities is evident. “For me, persistence and flexibility are some of the most important qualities you need to succeed,” he said.
