In one of the their best performances of the year, the Staples Wreckers boys basketball team defeated Brien McMahon High School 67-54 at home on Tuesday evening.

Led by senior captains Luke Yeager ’11 and Gabe Seidman ’11, the Wreckers dominated the second half and gave the Senators from Brien McMahon their first loss of the season.

Poor free throw shooting killed McMahon as they shot just 46% from the charity stripe. Missing in action for the Senators was Greenwich High School center Al Alzulphar, who was forced to sit out the first 10 games of the year due to his transfer to McMahon.

Up next for the Staples Wreckers is a trip to Fairfield where the 4-2 Wreckers take on the Fairfield Warde Mustangs.
