Snow snow go away; come again another day

Snow snow go away; come again another day

I am sick of the snow and the cold.

I remember in November hoping that we at least get some snow this year. I remember getting so excited when it started to snow on Christmas Eve.

However, I got over the snow, and the cold, quickly.

First came the “Polar Vortex” in January. I like to tell people that I’m cold blooded; it could be 90 degrees outside, and you’ll see me inside my house wearing a blanket, a sweatshirt, and a pair of sweats.

So you could imagine how I felt in January. I couldn’t wear enough layers of clothing to stop the chattering of my teeth that I felt as soon as I stepped outside.

Especially that one time when the pipe burst and everyone was evacuated outside. All I had was a t-shirt on to cover my arms. Smart move on my part.

Then there’s the snow outside that still hasn’t melted. It was pretty at first; watching the white, fluffy snowflakes fall down from the skies was nice to watch in December-to early January.

But, once the snow turned brown from the mud in the roads, it wasn’t so pretty to look at anymore.

I am so ready for the sunny, 70-degree days that lie so close, yet so far, away. I can’t wait to walk outside and feel the hot sun beating on my face and wear shorts and pastels. I can’t wait to sit on my patio, drinking a cold glass of lemonade and reading a book, looking out at my grassy lawn and the trees covered with leaves.

But for now, I guess all I can do is hope that March 21st has brought some relief.
