After posting dozens of videos on YouTube, a website where people “broadcast themselves,” Justin Bieber a 15 year-old sensation racked up 10,000,000 in a month.

His singing talent on YouTube started in 2007, when he sang renditions of artists such as Usher, Ne-Yo, and Stevie Wonder. Living in Stratford, Ontario he participated in local singing competitions where he took 2nd place.

While many people post themselves on YouTube in hopes of gaining a career, Bieber wasn’t looking for anything at the young age of 12. But after his videos received millions of hits a manager found him and flew him to Atlanta to meet non-other then Usher himself.

Before signing to Island Records, Bieber got the option to either go with Justin Timberlake’s record company or Usher’s. At just 13 years old he was getting offers from two worldwide superstars, due to of his melodic singing voice and young looks.

“[Justin Bieber] is cute with his brown flip hair and catchy songs,” said Alexis Teixeria ’13 a new listener of Bieber.

An obsession with Justin Bieber is arising with one concert under his belt and another coming up, which students at Staples have been talking about.

“I hardly know who he is, but that he is definitely an up and coming singer, who [got started] on YouTube,” said Teixeria ’13.

Showing his heart in his singing he already has two popular singles out One Time and One Less Lonely Girl. Many people call him multi-talented, because not only does he sing in his videos, but also dances and is a self taught musician.

Bieber stand out from the rest of the young pop stars with his ability to sing, dance, play the drums, guitar, and piano, and not to mention is cute.

At only 15, Justin Bieber has taken the nation by storm through the viral phenomenon of YouTube videos.
