On Jun. 11 Zach Slater ’11 got students excited for summer during the first lunch wave. Slater put a spin on Katy Perry’s newest hit “California Gurls” and sung “Staples Swimming Gurls.” He also performed Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance.”

On May 8, video production students Jarrett Goodness ’13, Ryan Shea ’13, and Jake Shore ’13 won The Audience Award at the Westport Youth Film Festival for the video featured above, “Ryan Shea: Security Officer.”Shea – the lone star of the film – is constantly bleeped out over his improv as the Staples security guard; his reasoning – “people think something is funny when they don’t hear it,” said Shea.
